Hello, my friend!
I hope you’ve had a great week! It’s been an insanely fast one for us, as we hosted out-of-town family and had jam-packed days every day! They left this morning to head back to Nebraska, and in just a month, we will be flying up to see them there!
My favorite part of their visit was watching the three older cousins play and interact. Seems like yesterday my niece was four and my son, five months, showed his infatuation with her — which he still very much as! — by grinning at her like a fool and showing her his board books. Now, at 8 and 5, respectively, their relationship dynamic is still as sweet as it was back then, but, enhanced, let’s say, as my son can now do more than grin and push books in people’s faces…
I hope you enjoy what I’ve curated for this week’s Top 4! Have a lovely weekend!
WHAT’S YOUR “SAFE PLACE”
I read the following quote from bestselling author Kristin Hannah (after I finish The Tattooist of Auschwitz, The Nightingale and am willing to wager you can relate:
“Books are the mile markers of my life. Some people have family, photos or home movies to record their past. I’ve got books. Characters. For as long as I can remember, books have been my safe place.”
I agree one thousand percent! In addition to books, my safe places are, and have always been, the outdoors, particularly in the presence of dogs and horses and a source of flowing water (like the creek that ran behind my house growing up), a cozy fireplace, a relaxing porch swing, especially when a storm’s rolling in, and last but certainly not least, in nightly prayer with my husband.
What are some of your “safe places”? Reply at diana.tyler86@gmail.com; I’d love to hear from you!
You might have read in one of my emails or podcast episodes that I’m a big fan of Dr. Josh Axe. In a recent Q&A episode of his podcast, he gives a plethora of tips for relieving allergies. I jotted down many of them, but not all, so be sure to tune into THIS EPISODE to learn them all!

Don’t compare yourself to other flowers, so to speak. God has created you with unique talents, gifts, and resources no one else on earth possesses. Don’t waste or whine about them. Rather, nurture them. Grow them. Optimize them. Share your fruit and beauty with your community.
