Full Life vs. Busy Life + Life Update!

Hello, my friend!

I hope you’re doing great! I feel like my life has never been fuller… And I purposely chose the word “fuller” over the word “busier” because in my mind, there’s a big difference between the two. To me, “busy” connotes an underlying sense of overwhelm, hecticness and hurriedness, whereas “full” implies a state of peace and abundance that, while possessing its fair share of busyness, isn’t defined or consumed by it. I hope “full” can currently describe you, as well!

I have truly been enjoying my role as a home educator. In fact, I’d venture to say I’m downright passionate about it! This new ardor is definitely contributing to my feeling of fullness, as is the literal fullness in my belly as I anticipate giving birth to child #3 in five (ish!) weeks!

I’m also filled with appreciation for our incredible church family and the ladies that comprise my weekly Bible study. We’re currently reading a fantastic book titled Conversational Evangelism. You can find it HERE if you’re interested in learning more about reaching the lost in this age of pluralism, skepticism, and post-modernism.

As I move closer to welcoming our baby boy, and venture further into this homeschooling year and all the research and preparation it requires, I’m not certain how often I’ll be emailing you, but I promise to stay in touch with you as best I can! As I’m sure you can understand, having three little ones at home, ages five and under, leaves little room for laptop time!

I feel so blessed that I’m able to stay home with my children and “train them up in the way they should go”; the older I get (and hopefully, wiser I get…) the stronger my conviction that time spent pouring into my family is exceedingly valuable, far more valuable than writing, editing, reading…all the things I once thought the most pleasurable pursuits in all the world. I thank the Lord for changing my heart on Motherhood (which you can hear all about HERE), and for continually reminding me that, in the words of Abbie Halberstadt (@M.is.for.Mama), “hard is not the same thing as bad,” and that these full days are heaven-sent and not to be taken for granted!

Okay, I didn’t intend for my intro to be that long, but there it is :-P. Perhaps that’s enough for today, come to think of it. I am certain your life is just as full as – if not fuller than – mine and I want to respect your time. Thank you for reading. Thank you for being there, and please know I am always here for you if you ever feel the need to reach out for prayer or would like a listening ear. You can email me any time at inadequatemomshow@gmail.com!
